The European Society for Microcirculation was formed over 50 years ago and now has approximately 600 members (including members of national societies).
Its aim is
- to advance integrative understanding of physiology and pathophysiology of terminal vascular beds
- to support classical microcirculation as well as vascular biology
- to use basic as well as clinical studies
Its biannual conferences are attended by about 700 scientists from all over the world.
Belgium-Netherlands Vascular Biology Conference (BeNeVBO)
November 5-6, 2026
This year the annual meeting of the Netherlands and Belgian Vascular Biology Organisation (BeNeVBO) will be held on 5 and 6 November, at De Beukenhof in Biezenmortel (NL).
The program will feature national and international keynote speakers, complemented by a selection of invited and submitted talks.
This two-day meeting provides an excellent opportunity for PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers to present their work, either through an oral presentation or a poster. The conference fee includes all meals, drinks, and an overnight stay. Join us and experience the unique Beukenhof atmosphere!

GfMVB Annual Meeting
This year, the GfMVB Annual Meeting will take place in the German National Academy of Science - Leopoldina in Halle (Saale), November 12-14, 2026.
We have put together an exciting program covering most up to date aspects of cardiovascular research e.g., responses to damage, vascular dysfunction, repair & remodelling, metabolism and angiogenesis.
During the meeting, there will again be the Emerging Scientist Award session, and the Aletta Jacobs Award session for young female scientists.
